  1. Apply for ethics clearance

  2. Establish agreements with Colleges UK / Croydon and South Thames  

  3. Develop links and contacts with Australian colleges

  4. Continue design of TM Website and Survey

  5. Market through Social Network groups and attach to site.

  6. Pilot survey with 2 participants from UK and 2 from Australia

  7. Test technology – various recorders and Skype/Video capture


Phase 2 - Launch Website and Survey

November 2009

  1. Establish date for launch of TM Website

  2. Advertise launch on Social Network sites

  3. Launch Survey along with TM Website

  4. Advertise TM Website and Survey amongst identified UK cohort

  5. Monitor results and participation

  6. Collect survey data for guidance in design of London 1:1 sessions

  7. Continue to develop TM Website based on data collected

  8. Confirmation of Candititure


Phase 3 & 4 - Direct Work with Research Partners

December 2009 UK

February - April 2010 Australia

  1. Send invitations to colleges for distribution and collect survey results

  2. Develop 4 small group events:

        {2 Croydon & 2 South Thames

        {Group 1 ‘Memory Work’

        {Group 2 ‘Soliloquy and Performance’

  1. Collect and transcribe data from groups

  2. Identify possible interviewees 2-4 from each institution

  3. Set and conduct interviews

  4. Request reflective practice accounts from each interviewee

  5. Arrange observations of classroom practice


Phase 5 - Follow-up, Collation of Data and Analysis

April - July 2010

  1. Collate data from research period

  2. Consider follow-up possibilities for interviews a month

  3. Check on well being of interviewees and effect of the research

  4. Can use Skype at this point as a video diary tool


Phase 6 - Write-up and Submission

July 2010 - May 2011

  1. End survey collection period (8 months live on web site)

  2. Use findings against themes to develop analytical data (NVivo)

  3. Finalize Chapters 2, 3 & 4

  4. Start to develop Findings and Analysis Chapters 5 & 6

  5. Submit for examination May 2011
